Course Description

This course provides the skills needed to create high quality video content for today’s world. Students will learn the phases of video production, effective use of camcorder, video editing techniques, and application of video effects using industry software. This course is project oriented allowing students to develop creative thinking skills while producing unique video. This course will prepare students for the workplace or further education by developing their skills in the latest software and making multimedia products that could be included in a personal portfolio.

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to…

*Apply copyright law in various multimedia production scenarios

*Record sound

*Add and remove sound effects to soundtracks

*Create multi-track soundtracks

*Edit sound clips

*Adjust volume levels within a sound clip

*Evaluate the quality of a soundtrack

*Create at storyboard

*Shoot footage using multiple camera angles and shot types

*Plan appropriate shot types and camera angles to effectively convey a message to an audience

*Combine video clips to create a finished product

*Navigate a video editing program to create a high-quality video presentation

*Add titles to video projects

*Add sound to video content apply effects to video projects

*Insert keyframes into a video timeline

*Use chroma key to remove or change color in a video

*Manipulate frame rates

*Use advanced cutting tolls to cut video
